Capsicum Raita
Capsicum Raita is a soothing mild side dish made by tempering capsicum with spices & blending it with curd. Capsicum Raita is a great accompaniment for rice meal, roti & chapatti and can be prepared in minutes. Capsicum Raita Recipe is detailed in this post with step by step pictures.

Ingredients
- 1 cup curd / yogurt
- 1/8 teaspoon chat masala powder
- 1 tablespoon coriander leaves chopped finely
- 3 tablespoon capsicum chopped into small squares
- salt to taste
To Temper:
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon jeera
- 1 green chillies sliced
Instructions
Whisk (beat) the curd, add chat masala powder and salt, mix well.
Heat oil – add the items under ‘ to temper’ let it crackle.
Add chopped capsicum fry for a minute (don't let it brown) and switch off.
Add this to curd and give a quick stir.
Serve Capsicum Raita with any type of paratha or just rotis too.
Notes
- Sprinkle chat masala powder while serving if you prefer.
- You can add colored capsicum to make the raita even more colorful.
- Can even include fresh grated cucumber.
- You can also grind chillies and add the paste to raita if you don't prefer green chillies coming your way while eating the raita.
- You can add 1 tablespoon of chopped onions, saute it along with capsicum and add it to raita.

Add a tbsp of milk to the raita so that its no sour during lunch time.
