If you’re the kind of person that loves products that have many uses, you’ll love Felix Lingonberry Jams. They’re so versatile and great with both sweet and savory dishes.
Felix Lingonberry Jams
I first met the folks at Felix Jams at the Summer Fancy Food Show in NYC this past summer. I actually really wasn’t familiar with the brand but since meeting them I’ve noticed their jams in my local grocery stores. They’re on the shelves everywhere here in America, coming to us straight from Sweden. Lingonberries grow in the wild in Sweden (think of them as the Swedish cranberry) and since people there can get them pretty readily, for a jam to succeed it has to be special. Felix is!
This is the Felix Jams brand manager who came all the way from Sweden to talk with us about these jams. They come in four varieties:
- Wild Natural Lingonberries
- Lingonberries with Spiced Apple and Cinnamon
- Lingonberries With Ginger
- Lingonberries with Blueberries
The thing that really sets Felix Lingonberry Jams apart is their versatility. They are easily used in both sweet and savory dishes. Perfect with meat (I’m thinking Thanksgiving!), or with a dessert. You can see in the photo above they provided us with samples on a cracker, with yogurt for something sweet, and on a sandwich wrap for something savory. They were all delicious.
My favorite sample had to be with this brie cheese on a crepe. Sooooo good! That’s what I love about having Felix Jams in my cupboard. Because it can be used in so many dishes, it inspires creativity in the kitchen.
My favorite varieties are the Wild Natural Lingonberries and the Lingonberries with Blueberries. The Spiced Apple and Cinnamon has a little bit of a kick to it. Another great thing about these jams is that they contain NO preservatives. Wild berries, fresh water, and pure sugar. That’s it!
There are no artificial ingredients so whether you’re getting gourmet or serving up a quick breakfast with Felix Lingonberry Jams, you’re only getting the good stuff. And speak of quick breakfasts….
Lingonberry Jam Muffins Recipe
I mentioned that the great thing about Felix Lingonberry Jams is their versatility and ease of use for both sweet and savory dishes. But since I have been enjoying it for breakfast lately, I was in that baked goods mode and came up with a very simple and totally delicious Lingonberry Jam Muffins Recipe.
These are so easy to make and my family loved them. They’re perfect for a quick breakfast or even an after-school snack.
Pretty, too, aren’t they? I love that this jam has actual berries in it. They give these muffins a nice bump of texture and flavor that you wouldn’t get from other jams. Here’s the recipe:
Yield: 18 Prep Time 15 minutes Cook Time 25 minutes Total Time 40 minutes Preheat oven 325 degrees Fahrenheit. In a large bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients. Set aside. In a small bowl, beat the egg, milk, and oil together. Pour all at once into the well in the bowl of dry ingredients. Mix quickly and lightly until just combined. Do not beat, just stir with a spoon. The batter should be lumpy. Stir in the jam. Pour the batter into lined muffin cups. Bake for 22-25 minutes or until fully cooked. Lightly sprinkle with sugar to garnish if desired - this is optional but pretty!Ingredients
