It's so easy to make, just marinate the pork chops with salt, white wine, pepper, nutmeg and Worcestershire sauce and cook in a delicious sauce made with fresh tomatoes, onion, olive oil, sweet red pepper paste, green pepper and garlic.

INGREDIENTS FOR PORK CHOPS IN TOMATO SAUCE

- Pork chops - On of the main ingredients of this recipe. Juicy pork chops.
- Tomato - Peeled tomato cut into small chunks. Adds color and flavor to the recipe.
- Onion, sweet red pepper paste and olive oil - Sliced onion. Adds and extra flavor and some creaminess to the tomato sauce.
- White wine, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, nutmeg and salt - To marinate the pork chops.
- Green pepper and peeled garlic - Adds flavor and color.

HOW TO MAKE PORK CHOPS IN TOMATO SAUCE
Step 1: Season the chops with salt, white wine, pepper, nutmeg and Worcestershire sauce. Marinate for 15 minutes.
Step 2: In a large saucepan, pour the olive oil, sliced onion and the peeled garlic. Sauté over low heat until the onion start to turn slightly golden brown, stirring occasionally.
Step 3: Add the peeled tomatoes cut into small chunks, green pepper cut into strips and the sweet red pepper paste. Stir and cook until the tomato start to break down, stirring occasionally.
Step 4: Add the chops and the marinade, cover the pan with a lid and cook over low heat for 25 to 30 minutes.
Step 5: Turn off the heat and serve the chops with white rice, mashed potatoes or a simple spinach salad.
RECIPE TIPS
If you want an healthier recipe, you can remove the sweet red pepper paste and the Worcestershire sauce. To replace the sweet red pepper paste, add one more tomato to the recipe.

Can I store in the fridge?
Yes, you can store in the fridge! Allow the chops to cool to room temperature and place them in an airtight container. Never store the chops for more than 2 days. Beyond this time frame, it might start losing quality and develop microorganisms.
Can I replace fresh tomatoes with tomato pulp?
Yes! It is healthier to make this recipe with fresh tomatoes than with tomato pulp. Tomato pulp has the advantage of making the recipe simpler and quicker.

- 3 pork chops (about 400 grams (14 ounces))
- 3 medium ripe tomatoes
- 1 large onion
- 50 ml (1/4 cup) white wine
- Pepper (to taste)
- 50 ml (1/4 cup) olive oil
- 1/2 green pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon sweet red pepper paste
- Nutmeg (to taste)
- 3 cloves of garlic
- Salt (to taste)
- Season the chops with salt, white wine, pepper, nutmeg and Worcestershire sauce. Marinate for 15 minutes.
- In a large saucepan, pour the olive oil, sliced onion and the peeled garlic. Sauté over low heat until the onion start to turn slightly golden brown, stirring occasionally.
